| Diversity Hub's
Mission Statement Every human being has an inherent desire to ensure everyone is treated well and has a good life. Diversity Hub believes in unleashing people's inherent leadership to ensure everyone can flourish. With the knowledge that an individual can change a family, an organisation, city or country - all it takes is the decision to try: and to keep working out what the blocks are. We are passionate about our vision and to this end we provide a creative range of services with the intention of engaging all members of society in building the communities of our dreams. |
History Diversity Hub started in early 2006. previously we were known as NCBI. Diversity Hub aims to build community cohesion by working towards the elimination of prejudice and discrimination and leading anti-bullying work with young people. We fulfill our objectives by educating and training people to recognise the factors which give rise to prejudice and discrimination including gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, class, religion, sexuality, age, physical ability, occupation, life circumstances, mental social or educational background or any other factors. Our work fosters respect for all people creating mutual respect across communities. Our main activities include the training of individuals, organisational groups and school and non-school based teams in a wide range of techniques that provide the skills needed to enable the participants to fulfil the objectives of the charity. Our Friends Against Bullying(FAB) and Leicester Against Bullying (LAB) leaders are trained in leadership skills and strategies needed to resolve and eliminate bullying, prejudice and discrimination in all its forms and to welcome diversity and resolve conflict. The FAB teams are either playground mentoring teams in primary schools or club based teams in secondary schools. The LAB team is based at our Leicester Office and is for young people with NEET status. The link below will take you to our main site. |
